Seminar ''Sexual abuse in childhood''
To widen our knowledge and sharpen our self confidence in order to better be able to guide people who are sexually abused in childhood. To learn to believe in our intuitive power to use our knowledge and love to widen our abilities in guiding. The most important is therefore to gain more insight in the process that takes place in the client and in ourselves.
Specific approach is necessary so on this seminar, through experimental exercises, group sharing, putting things in a theoretical frame, visualizations etc
Themes:
• The “story” and what it evokes in us.
• Adaptation – guilt and shame
• Boundlessness and self-destruction
• Transference and counter transference
• Resistance and avoidance
• Rebuilding of own identity
• Renewed image of man/woman
Aims:
• to build a trustful relationship with people who are so deeply wounded in their trust
• to deal with this contradictory subject
• to learn to recognize signals
• to learn to appreciate the constructive meaning of their patterns, such as negative self-image,
• auto mutilation, suicidal behavior, etc. What are the alternatives
• to explore together the deeper meaning of feelings of guilt and shame
• how to set into movement stubborn patterns in a understanding, loving way
• to explore traps and contradictions as far as boundaries, emphatic ability and anxieties
• to deal with power and powerlessness
• to widen perception of the delicate process of transference and counter transference with clients who have very distorted images due to their past
• to widen their view to the present/reality
• to learn about the function of dissociation
• what is integration and how can we come so far.
